Education for Health on the use of ICTs from School Nursing

School nursing holds a unique position to educate young people and their families about the use of ICTs. While these technologies offer many benefits, they can also pose risks such as academic, social, or psychological issues from problematic use.

Nurses should not only educate young people and their families but also implement strategies for early diagnosis of potential cases for referral to appropriate resources. If potentially problematic behaviors are observed, a nursing assessment should be conducted to establish the relevant NANDA, NOC, and NIC criteria for developing a personalized care plan.
